The positives: The young lady who took our order was very nice.

    The negatives:

It took an extremely long time to get our food. Because of the wait I thought my food was going to be hot and fresh. It was hot however it didn't taste fresh. The jerk wings where very small and tasted like they had been microwaved. The cabbage had a vinegar after taste and the rice was dry.

I gave them a three and not a one because it was my first time there and maybe it was just an off day for them.

I never patronized this place until they started coming to my job in Gwinett as part of this food service named Fooda.

Once a week they travel from East Point to Gwinett to sell/serve a set menu. I intially started off wity the carrot cake. It was very good. Not overly sweet and definitely not dry.

The next time they came I decided to get the Jerk Chicken, rice and peas and cabbage. I felt like I wasted my money. The portions were skimpy for the money they charging. They give you a dab of rice and a dab of cabbage. It doesn't even fill the space in the plate. The chicken was excessively dry and overcooked not to mention so hot I couldn't really taste the flavor of the jerk seasoning. The cabbage was raw. Please stop serving raw cabbage. It is not coleslaw. And whatever you do put a decent amount of food on the plate. You guys come once a week yet you still hold back on the portions.

Furthermore I live 2 miles from your restaurant and would love to be a regular because you are in my community and you are black owned but not if I'm not getting my money's worth. Just food for thought. I would love to try your food again and brag about it. Many employees complain about the same thing.

I ended up going here for Atlanta restaurant week and the meal did not disappoint. I do wish they had bigger portions but the flavor was great.  They also had great music playing. The food came out hot and fresh. We also got the sorrel and the ginger Freshly made juices!
We got the sampler of the oxtails the jerk chicken the curry chicken and goat. Like I said the flavor was good but honestly it had more bones than meat unfortunately.
The Restaurant is a decent size but dark inside giving it a club type of feel while eating.
So all in all I would go back if I were in the area.
Check it out if you're in east point and want some Jamaican food!

This is the second time I have eaten here in one month and Hubby and I really enjoyed it. Hubby had the sampler plate which included jerk chicken, curried chicken, curried goat, and oxtails. I had the curried goat and oxtail combo. We also had roti skin on the side. The service was good, the music was cool, the food was great. Hubby and I both agree that this place has the best oxtails in Metro Atlanta.

Ordered 2 beef patties for my boyfriend, 2 chicken patties for myself and some fried plaintains to share as a snack while we got pedicures next door. The plantains were nice and crispy the way I like them. And it was a great amount for just $2.50. Personally, the chicken patties were quite dry and did not have a lot of filling but it did have good flavor.  We will be back to try more.
